We are excited to announce the BIAN Transformation Awards 2026, now entering their fourth year!

The awards celebrate organizations that are successfully using BIAN standards to accelerate innovation, modernization, and transformation across financial services.

From banks and FinTechs to technology providers, the BIAN Transformation Awards highlight real-world success stories that demonstrate the business and technical value of adopting BIAN standards. Selected case studies will be featured on the BIAN website throughout the year, giving organizations a platform to share their achievements with the global banking and FinTech community.

New for 2026: A Winner Category for Non-Members

For the first time, the BIAN Transformation Awards include a dedicated winner category for non-member organizations.

Complimentary one-year BIAN Membership

This new category recognizes outstanding achievements from across the wider financial services ecosystem. As an additional benefit, the winning non-member organization will receive complimentary one-year BIAN Membership, providing the opportunity to engage with and contribute to the global BIAN community.

Best Use of Innovative Technology

Organizations and individuals demonstrating the use of innovative technology such as AI.

  • How do you address changes to your process and tools?
  • How do you implement BIAN content into your environment?
  • What was the business involvement by choosing these new / innovative tools?
  • How does the approval process around the use of BIAN content look like?
  • What new or innovative tools are you using and what do you hope it will bring to your organization?

About the Awards

The jury will select one category winner from each of the four categories. In addition, an award will be presented to a non-member company, also selected from the four categories.

Evaluation Criteria

The products and services should stand out in the following aspects:

  • Functionality and usability
  • Overall concept
  • Market maturity or exploring new technology boundaries
  • Future proof technology
  • Stability of technology
  • Future orientation
  • Customer centricity
  • Business impact
  • Impact on the Financial Services Industry

The above order does not constitute a criteria or ranking order for the jury. The jury is free to weigh the individual criteria in the evaluation.

Participation and Registration

We accept production ready solutions, products and implementations based on the BIAN standards only.

Registration for the awards takes place exclusively via our submission page.

There is no registration fee and projects can be submitted free of charge.

Prepare the following information for your project submission:

  1. Download the Call for Papers template (Word document) and complete it. Submissions are accepted on this template only.
  2. Write a project description (max. 500 words, in English).
  3. Once done – go to the submission form and follow the steps described  – click here

The BIAN Transformation Awards Label

Celebrate your Success at the BIAN Banking Summit 2027

We will announce the winners of The BIAN Transformation Awards at the BIAN Banking Summit on April 21 – 22, 2027 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. We look forward to seeing you there. Award winners will also have the opportunity to network and present their projects to industry leaders at the event. Bring your teams to the award ceremony to join the celebrations.

Results

The companies involved will receive a written notification of the results of the jury. The legal process is excluded.

PR

Whether shortlisted or an overall winner, The BIAN Transformation Awards are a great PR boost. Utilize the logo, social assets and recognition. We can’t wait to shout from the rooftops about your success!

Judge Endorsement

The judges will send a short statement to the winners outlining why they have won the award, which will be published on our website and can be used in both internal and external communication, including for prospective clients and customers.

The Judges

We have a panel of six banking and financial industry leaders and experts. The judges are an independent, international jury who will decide on the winner of the BIAN Transformation Awards. They will assess all entries based purely on the material submitted. All judges are impartial, and the information submitted will be treated as confidential, unless otherwise stated. You can be assured the breath of our panel allows for vigorous and fair judging.
