We’re still feeling inspired and excited about what’s to come after announcing the winners of last year’s BIAN Transformation Awards.
Our Awards Programme aims to celebrate innovative solutions and implementations, including systems, development methods, architectural approaches, innovative technologies, and mobile solutions, that are based on BIAN’s standards. All our entries show the value-add across their organization and highlight how they can transform the industry as we know it.
CC and C Solutions were the winners of the Best-in-Class Partner Award 2024
This award highlights the partners who provided first-class BIAN based solutions to help their clients in a successful transformation.
Supporting a major European bank, CC and C Solutions refreshed its enterprise architecture strategy with a goal of rationalizing applications and reducing operational costs, while improving time-to-market.
The project was made possible through use of the BIAN Service Domain model, which provides the canvas against which all applications can be classified.
Zafin is the winner of last year’s Adoption Leader Award 2024
This Award aims to celebrates the organization and individuals who have adopted and enhanced the BIAN deliverables.
Zafin recognized a common struggle amongst its banking clients when it came to customer agreement data, and how it is scattered across many different systems like CRM, core banking, and legal database platforms.
The Zafin Agreements and Relationships solution was developed in response to the clear need for a unified, actionable view of the customer.
By scoping the software based on BIAN Service Domains, and in particular adopting the Agreement BOM Diagram and its underlying data models, the four-person team was able to quickly scope a minimum viable product.
TDECU is the winner of the Transformation Champion Award 2024
This award category celebrates the financial institutions that successfully used the BIAN Models to solve their business or IT challenges.
TDECU recently embarked on an ambitious digital transformation journey encompassing its technology capabilities, organizational structure, and operating model, with a business goal of being ranked among the top 20 credit unions in the US.
Through an engagement with CC and C Solutions, the business embraced the BIAN framework as a critical enabler of establishing a common business and IT taxonomy and orienting the organization towards a product-centric mindset.
Through the implementation, TDECU has identified a path to eliminating over sixty duplicate applications, deliver highly composable, personalized user journeys, and expects a 3x improvement in time-to-market of new applications and capabilities.
CaixaBank was crowned the Overall Winner 2024 of the last year’s BIAN Transformation Awards for its submission for the Best Use of Innovative Technology category
This Award celebrates those who have created a proof of concept or project that highlighted how you can use BIAN across your own business environment.
CaixaBank had a strategic vision to adopt a domain driven design approach to the institution’s architecture, which quickly revealed a major change management challenge.
Mapping the BIAN reference map, as the leading standardized industry model, to the business showed that aligning the bank’s IT landscape to a domain approach was to be a project-by-project process. This meant not just clearly defining a strategy but conveying it to the entire IT organization as clearly as possible to deliver cohesive parallel transformation initiatives.
The transformation strategy is now being communicated, with the support of Application Functional Map, to over 1000 IT employees.
